In the war of Android Tablets and Apple iPad, Android Needs More Work to face to the strong opponent. Why?
The iPad was the first tablet PC to hit the market earlier in the year and Apple did some real good business on the basis of the same. As the first of its kind it was always going to give Apple an added advantage. All that is taking a huge turn now that a range of new
android tablets are coming through to offer competition. However, it is not going to be a rosy picture for the androids when pitted against the iPad.
The operating system for the Google tablets is seriously in question. It is just not as complete and perfect as is required to satisfy the customers. The
Android 2.2 OS needs a lot of work done. And then the android smartphones are there to be taken care of, even those need improvements so the focus would be divided too. Also, the apps and other tools are going to be real important in determining the success of the OS or the
android tablet.
Also, there is still a lot of craze about the iPad from Apple. People like it, and are yet to get over the euphoria of its launch. The time isn't ripe yet for the
Google tablets. And then to take note that Steve Jobs has plans on updating the iPad, its performance is only expected to get better. Then the iPad is now being sold by Verizon too. That being so, more people would want to buy it. Then comparing the screen size, the iPad's 10 inch is clearly in favor against the 7-inch of the android tablets.
Then the enterprise solution element can also not be overlooked. The iPad seems to be in favor there as well. The
app store is just too up to the brim and offers something to everybody, while the the android market has some way to go. Last but not the least, the Brand name of Apple is just too big to overcome. People would want an Apple iPad over an Android tablet any day, hands down.
